Rain chances are going up for Saturday.

Highs on Friday will top out around 70 degrees with south winds becoming northerly late in the day at 10 to 20 mph. Very isolated showers possible in northeast Oklahoma Friday afternoon, before our main storm arrives Friday night.

Overnight Friday into Saturday rain chances will go up in southern and southwest Oklahoma. There will be enough instability to get a few thunderstorms as well.

Rain will increase in coverage on Saturday with most of the state seeing showers and T-storms. The severe threat is very low on Saturday, but lightning, gusty winds, and small hail is not out of the question.

Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 50s with very little sunshine. Rain is expected off and on through the entire day.

Showers and storms will move east overnight Saturday into Sunday as cold air rushes in. There will be a slight chance for a light winter mix early Sunday morning for the region shaded in pink. By midday Sunday most of the precipitation will be out of the state, but highs will only reach the lower and mid-40s.

Rainfall totals will be highest along and south of I-44 where .25" to 1" is expected. Unfortunately far southwest and northwest Oklahoma will miss out on the high.
