The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) said the blood supply shortage continues as blood drives cancel due to winter weather across the state.

OBI declared a blood emergency Friday, February 7th after several donation drives were forced to cancel after three waves of snow and ice surged across Oklahoma. With the schools and businesses closed and icy roads keeping donors indoors, OBI saw 540 less donors than expected.
