Oklahoma football player Trey Franks will not be with the team in 2014, OU assistant athletic director Pete Moris confirmed to News9.com.

Franks has graduated from Oklahoma and has opted to move on rather than use his final year of eligibility.

NewsOK.com was first to report the story.

Franks had an up-and-down career at OU. He arrived in 2010 and was used as a speed weapon on offense for the first two seasons of his career, primarily as a wide receiver. Franks was suspended for the entire 2012 season for a violation of team rules, but came back in 2013.

Last season, Franks was used as a special teams player and also played some at defensive back. Franks had five kickoff returns for 118 yards and recovered a muffed punt against West Virginia. Franks eventually switched back to receiver, but didn't catch a pass.

Franks finished his career with 51 catches for 459 yards and a touchdown.
