Arctic air will surge in tonight as north winds crank up. This will bring in some of the coldest air of the season. Bursting pipes and even frostbite will be a concern especially in northwestern Oklahoma.

Lows will drop into the low teens, but the wind chill will be dangerously cold. It will feel like -5° to -15° and this could lead to frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes! Highs on Wednesday will only be in the single digits in the NW, teens in central OK, and 20s SE. Wind chills will stay in the single digits most of Wednesday afternoon as north winds continue at 15 to 25 mph.

Overnight Wednesday into Thursday our next storm will move in. This will bring another chance for snow across Oklahoma with totals ranging from a dusting in the east, to 1" in the west, and around 1/2" in central Oklahoma.

Thursday morning wind chills will be even colder anywhere from -10° to -20°! This could cause frostbite in 20 minutes. Temperatures will be below 20 degrees for over 50 hours across much of the state.

We will finally make it back up into the low 30s this weekend.

Stay warm, and remember your pets.
