Oklahoma State's Liz Donohoe has been the Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday by the league office.
Chosen by a media panel, the honor is the first player of the week award for Donohoe. She was named the league's freshman of the week on five occasions two seasons ago.
Donohoe poured in a game-high 21 points and grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds in 28 minutes against Texas-Pan American on Sunday. Her numbers resulted in her third double-double of the year and helped propel the Cowgirls to an 11-0 record,which is tied for the best start in school history.
Against the Broncs, the Edmond, Okla., native hit seven of her 13 shots from the floor,including a 5-of-10 effort from the 3-point line. Additionally, she had one assist and one steal.
Donohoe is the third different Cowgirl to receive the honor this month. She joins Brittney Martin (Dec. 2) and Tiffany Bias, who won the award last week.
