Fracking Protestors Arrested At Devon Tower In Downtown OKC

As many as 10 protestors have been arrested Friday morning outside Devon Tower. The protestors say they are fighting the company's involvement in toxic tar sands extraction and fracking.

As many as 10 protestors have been arrested Friday morning outside Devon Tower. The protestors say they are fighting the company's involvement in toxic tar sands extraction and fracking.

The protestors are from two groups; Great Plains Tar Sands Resistance (GPTSR) and Cross Timbers Earth First. Friday morning, two protestors locked themselves inside the revolving door of the tower.

Police were called to the scene. They shut down the 300 block of Sheridan because of the protest. The street reopened just after 11:30 a.m.

According to the protestors' website, 10 activists have been arrested so far. The group is seeking donations to help with bail.
