Canadian County Toy Drive Desperate For Donations

The winter storm is not just impacting roads and schools, but many non-profits are feeling the icy aftermath.

The 12th Annual Eastern Canadian County Toy Drive "Santa's Toy Shoppe" is in desperate need of toys. Fire departments in Yukon, Piedmont and Mustang have provided toys for hundreds of needy families each year.

This year, the toy drive is expected to serve 700 children, but officials with the collection center say at this point, they only have enough toys for about 100 kids.

If you would like to help, just bring a new unwrapped toy to either the Mustang Fire Department at 465 W. Highway 152 or the Yukon Fire Department at 1000 E. Main Street this week.

Toys will be distributed to families on Saturday, December 14.
