Weather Update: Sun Returns To Forecast

It is great to have the sun back in the forecast! Did you forget where your sunglasses were? I need to double check and look for mine.

Over the next few days, we will be going through a thawing and refreezing process as temperatures warm above freezing during the day, but go back to well below freezing at night. Evaporation will eventually remove the snow and ice from roadways, sidewalks, parking lots and some people's memories.

The biggest concern will be during the evening as the temperatures drop back below the freezing mark. Expect black ice to reform, especially on wet sidewalks and secondary and neighborhood streets.

Morning lows will bottom out in the teens through Thursday.

A rain system will arrive on Friday. We may start with some light freezing rain during the morning, before warming back above freezing. We will continue to monitor the situation. Right now it appears that we will not have significant issues.
