Downtown in December, presented by Devon, is a series of holiday events and attractions in the heart of Oklahoma City. It's a one-of-a-kind winter experience that features thrilling outdoor ice skating, snow tube rides down a 150-foot slope, visits with Santa Claus, a festive 5K and fun run, free water taxi excursions, a 2-day winter market and more – all surrounded by twinkling holiday lights. Most events are free of charge and there is an open invitation for all to attend.

Below is a complete list of Downtown in December activities:

Devon Ice Rink at the Myriad Gardens. The Devon Ice Rink returns for its third season in the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Join us for another great winter of outdoor ice skating at Downtown in December's premier attraction beginning Nov. 15. Open seven days a week, the Devon Ice Rink hosts daily public skating, private parties, and special events all winter long. The ice will heat up on Friday nights for Rock 'n' Skate with a live DJ from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and food and drink will be served outdoors at the rink throughout the season. In early December, you can dine indoors at the new Park House restaurant, seven days a week for lunch or dinner. Admission is $10 per person and includes skate rental.

Devon's Saturdays with Santa. Devon Energy has invited Santa to Oklahoma City especially for Downtown in December. Kids of all ages are invited to meet Santa and enjoy a festive theme each week: Gingerbread Village (Nov. 30), the Whoville (Dec. 7), The North Pole (Dec. 14) and Polar Express (Dec. 21). Bring your camera to take free photos with Santa and his crew, write letters to the North Pole, create your own crafts and enjoy a variety of holiday entertainment. Guests also will have an opportunity to package care kits for deployed soldiers at the event through Devon's partnership with The HUGS Project. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at Aravalli, Devon's coffee shop. Saturdays with Santa will take place at the Devon Rotunda (333 W. Sheridan) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Chesapeake Energy Snow Tubing. Cruise down one of the country's largest manmade snow tubing slopes at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Presented by Chesapeake Energy, snow tubing sessions run every two hours beginning at noon on Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 23 to Dec. 15. Starting Dec. 19, tubing is open daily (except Christmas). Admission is $10 for a 90-minute session. Tickets can be purchased at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark box office or online at DowntownInDecember.com.

SandRidge Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. Kick off the season with Mayor Mick Cornett and Santa Claus on Friday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. as they light the SandRidge Christmas Tree in front of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The lighting ceremony officially begins downtown Oklahoma City's month-long holiday celebration and provides live music by Banana Seat, family-friendly activities, popcorn, cookies from Nonna's, free pictures with Santa, face painting and more. There is no charge to attend.
