Oklahoma and UCLA have agreed to a two-game football series in 2018 and 2019. OU will host the Bruins in Norman on Sept. 8, 2018, while the Sooners are scheduled to travel to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Sept. 14, 2019.

"We're delighted to again add UCLA's tradition-rich program to our schedule," said OU vice president and director of athletics, Joe Castiglione. "Together, we can showcase two great schools in the kind of intersectional matchup that is so good for college sports. And now our longstanding philosophy of scheduling marquee non-conference opponents becomes even more important with the College Football Playoff beginning in 2014.

"We will continue to schedule games of this kind because they benefit our program competitively and because we believe this approach is best for the sport and our tremendous fan base."

Oklahoma and LSU are currently working to re-schedule their previously announced home-and-home series. LSU was originally slated to play in Norman in 2018 and in Baton Rouge in 2019. The two schools are looking at dates in later years to reschedule those two games.

Oklahoma holds a 3-1 advantage in its all-time series against UCLA. The teams first met in 1986, when No. 1 Oklahoma defeated No. 4 UCLA by a 38-3 margin in Norman. The Sooners also registered a 34-14 win at UCLA in 1990 and claimed a 59-24 victory against the Bruins at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in 2003. UCLA's lone win against the Sooners was a 41-24 decision in Pasadena in 2005.

The 2019 Oklahoma-UCLA game would mark the Sooners' fourth-ever contest played in the venerable Rose Bowl. In addition to two previous road games at UCLA, Oklahoma produced a 34-14 victory in the 2003 Rose Bowl against Washington State.

A member of the Pac-12, UCLA has a rich football tradition, boasting one national championship, 32 bowl appearances, 17 conference titles, 14 College Football Hall of Famers, a Heisman Trophy winner and 95 first-team All-Americans. The Bruins have played in the Pac-12 Championship Game each of the past two seasons.

Oklahoma also announced that it has added Akron to its non-conference schedule for 2015. The Sooners and Zips will square off for the first time in Norman on Sept. 5, 2015. In addition, ULM will return to Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for a contest against the Sooners on Sept. 3, 2016. Oklahoma registered a 34-0 victory over ULM to open the 2013 campaign.

As a reminder to fans, dates for all non-conference games in 2014 and beyond are subject to change based on television partners' request or if mutually agreed upon by both teams.
