A powerful cold front will sweep through the Sooner State Thursday night into Friday with rain chances increasing west to east.

Look for afternoon temperatures on Friday only in the upper 40s with strong north winds 15 to 25 mph and wind chills in the 30s. Scattered showers will begin to move out of central OK into eastern OK by late Friday evening.

Rainfall totals will be on the light side with most areas seeing a trace to .5".

Friday night into Saturday, rain and clouds will move on out, giving us clear skies and light winds. This will allow temperatures to drop into the lower and mid 30s. Areas shaded in blue should expect a freeze Saturday morning, and areas in pink should expect frost with low lying areas dropping to near 32°.

This will be the coldest air of the season and likely the first Frost for the OKC metro.
