Pedestrian Struck On Council Road In NW OKC

Southbound Council Road at N.W. 10th Street has reopened after a serious auto-pedestrian accident shut it down for more than two hours Friday morning.

Southbound Council Road at N.W. 10th Street has reopened after a serious auto-pedestrian accident shut it down for more than two hours Friday morning.

A 60-year-old homeless man was hit by a car at the intersection just before 7 a.m. He sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition.

The man's name has not released.

The driver of the car that hit the pedestrian stayed at the scene and spoke with police.
