Oklahomans in the northwestern and northeastern parts of the state were shaken up when three earthquakes were recorded Monday night and Tuesday morning.
The first quake struck Monday night just before 9:30 p.m. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 2.5 magnitude quake was centered six miles south of Stroud, and 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. The quake was felt as far away as Cleveland County. News 9 received several calls from viewers in Norman who felt it.
Just after 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, another earthquake rattled northern Oklahoma. The epicenter of the 3.2 magnitude quake was 13 miles northeast of Helena, about 58 miles northwest of Guthrie.
Another 2.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded at about 8:10 a.m. Tuesday. Its epicenter was located 16 miles west, southwest of Medford, and 22 miles north, northwest of Enid. It was about three miles deep.
No one was hurt in these quakes, and there were no reports of damage.
