UCO Professor Weighs In On Government Impasse

A local college Professor says lawmakers will be playing with fire if they don't end their budget stalemate soon. 

Dr. Ken Kickham is an Associate Political Science Professor at UCO. He says the aggressive tactics of Tea Party members in the Republican House of Representatives is causing political waves not seen in Washington D.C. in nearly 40 years. 

"They don't like central control. They like every new Congressman to have a voice heard. Shutting down the government is a pretty extreme thing to do just to have your voice heard," he said.
