A Choctaw woman said she was kidnapped, beaten and left for dead.

Midwest City Police are investigating the Thursday attack, but have not arrested anyone. That is why the woman wanted to share her story publicly.

Grace Coleman said her ex-boyfriend is the one who tortured her. She already had a victim's protective order against him, but said that has not stopped the violence.

Coleman said she was driving near 15th and Air Depot in Midwest City when she came to a stop and her ex-boyfriend ambushed her.

"He got in the car and he had a Taser and he told me I needed to drive or he was going to kill me," Coleman said.

Coleman claimed her ex was mad because she started dating someone new. She told police the man punched, bit and tased her until she eventually passed out.

"Next thing I wake up and he's got his hands around my throat, squeezing my throat and trying to choke me out and I'm just kicking and trying to scream as much as I can," she said.

Coleman said they had pulled over on a dirt road near Post and Wilshire and she was able to run away to a nearby home for help. She wound up in the hospital.

"I just couldn't believe it and things go through your mind about what you would like to do and I said, ‘We've got to stop him,'" explained Coleman's mother, Christine Stiles.

"Until you are in that position, you really don't know what it's like to beg for your life," added Coleman. "All I could see was my grandkids and my sons and my mom going to my funeral."

Midwest City Police have not named any suspects.

Assistant Chief Sid Porter said the department is in the early stages of the investigation and officers are taking Coleman's claims seriously.

We called Coleman's ex-boyfriend for comment, but he did not answer.
