Cussing In Court Lands Dewey Man In Jail

A Dewey man arrested earlier this week for failure to pay fines is in the Washington County jail after he "cussed in court" during a hearing Wednesday.

Bryan Russell, 31, was in court about $8,577 in past due court issued fines.

During his hearing, court officials said Russell began cussing and a judge ordered him in contempt and sent him to jail for 30 days.

Court records show the judge also ordered Russell to remain in jail at $25 a day until his fines are paid.
