After all of the sudden build up to the Sports Illustrated investigation into the OSU football program, I was expecting some bombshells.

They never landed.

And the final installment released today, a day earlier than planned, doesn't leave me feeling very sympathetic toward the players they interviewed, and who complained about their "mistreatment" at OSU.

They were high school stars, who were used to being treated special, to people taking care of them, no doubt cleaning up their messes, because they were the best on their teams.

But when they got to Stillwater, everyone was a high school star, and then it was time to go to work. College football is a business, you know; nothing is going to be handed to you as far as making the team.

Many of them in today's article were troubled before they got there, so is it any real surprise that they were screw-ups at OSU, and are still getting into trouble or struggling to grow up since they were let go by the Cowboys.

It's not a rehab program. It's a football program. You sell drugs, you're gone.

You steal money from teammates, you're gone.

Of course the coaches are going to try harder to help those who are more valuable to the program. Welcome to the real world, where talent and hard work earn you privileges.

You were given a scholarship, you had an incredible opportunity. If you blew it off, that's your fault. Get on with life.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
