A 3-year-old Owasso girl, who nearly drowned last summer and had been in a coma since, has died, her family said.

Rosalie Goodwin's lifeless body was rescued after she was found at the bottom of the Lake Valley Neighborhood Pool in June 2012. An aunt performed CPR, and Rosalie was transported to the hospital in critical condition. She spent three months in the intensive care unit at St. John.

Friday night, Rosalie "went to be with Jesus," her family posted on a Facebook page established to encourage prayers for the little girl. The page topped more than 50,000 "likes."

"We would like to thank our Lord and savior for Rosalie's life. What a blessing this sweet Child of God has been in our life. Our life will be forever changed because of Rose. I know that she has brought Jesus back into many hearts that surround her, being such a light for Gods Kingdom. Tonight Rosalie went to be with Jesus. She had a mighty purpose here on earth and I know that Christ is being glorified through her. What an honor it was to be her Mommy and Daddy. She will be forever missed in our heart but we know we will see her in Heaven once again and what a glorious day that will be! Please continue to keep us all in your prayers as we walk hand in hand with Christ seeking his face during this time."

A memorial service for Rosalie will take place 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Owasso First Christian Church.
