Edmond police spokesperson Jennifer Monroe says Washington asked the clerk to unlock the case where the iPads are and took two.

"Very calm, regular customer, knew what he was doing," said Monroe. "Got the iPads, actually said he would take the service plan and then when it came time to pay took out the gun."

Monroe says some employees tried to stop Washington as he left the store, but he pulled the gun on them again. Witnesses in the parking lot, however, got a good description of the suspect and the car.

Washington would head south on I-35 to the Target on Western and S.W. 44th where Oklahoma City police say he would also use a gun to steal electronics then head to this Bel Isle Radio Shack and do the same thing.

"Both jurisdictions working together (we) figured out we had the same person," Monroe said.

As crime scene investigators were gathering evidence, investigators tracked Washington to a hotel near I-44 and Lincoln. Jim Gardner and Bob Mills Sky News 9 HD was overhead as officers entered the hotel room and took Washington into custody. Washington was arrested.

But this wasn't be his first trip to jail, or even his first this week. Last fall, Washington was arrested for stealing an iPad 3 from UCO, and running from police.

Then just this past Sunday, he was arrested for shoplifting from the Quail Springs Dillard's.

This time, Washington was been booked into the Oklahoma County jail on armed robbery charges.
