Police: Man Wearing Fake Beard, Straw Hat Robs OKC Bank

Police and agents with the FBI are looking for an armed man wearing a fake beard who robbed an Oklahoma City bank on Monday.

According to investigators, the man robbed the Bank of Oklahoma located at 11300 N. May Avenue. It happened around 9 a.m. when the man, wearing a fake beard, straw hat and sunglasses, walked into the bank and approached the teller counter and demanded money. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money. The man displayed a semi-automatic pistol before leaving the bank. The man was last seen heading east through the bank parking lot. No one was injured.

Police describe the robber as a black man, late 20s to mid 30s, 6 feet tall with a heavy build. He was last seen carrying a black backpack and wearing a fake beard, straw hat with small brim and sunglasses.

This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Anyone with information is requested to call the Oklahoma City FBI Office at (405) 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous.

The Oklahoma Banker's Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and/or conviction of anyone robbing a member bank.
