Police have released the name of a Midwest City man who was killed Tuesday night when a car he was working on fell on him.

Neighbors in the 8800 block of N.E. 2nd Street became concerned when they noticed 62-year-old Richard Larson's garage door was still open. They say it was never open after dark.

Neighbors called police around 9 p.m., and officers discovered Larson's body lying under a car in the driveway.

Police say it appears Larson was working on the car while it was sitting on top of a make-shift lift made of bricks. Somehow, the vehicle fell on top of him. Police say it appears his body had been there for several hours before it was found.
