Two Wagoner women are scheduled to appear in a Pittsburg County courtroom on Thursday after being charged with assisting a prisoner to escape.

According to a court affidavit, Wendy Jenkins, 37, and Jenna Grace, 24, helped two inmates escape from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester on October 31, 2012.

The women were found with prisoners Terry Buckley, 28, and Jeffery Walker, 23, in an eastern Arkansas motel room the next day.

The affidavit says the two inmates were seen running from the prison and getting into a car, which drove away. The four stopped at a motel in Muskogee, with Buckley and Walker leaving their prison clothing behind. The motel's management called the prison after finding the inmates' uniforms.

From there, authorities said the women took them out of state, stopping at a motel in Palestine, Arkansas. U.S. Marshals arrested Buckley and Walker there.

Court records show Walker pleaded guilty to escape and was sentenced to four additional years in prison.

Buckley is still awaiting a trial on his escape charge.

Prison officials said both men at the time of their escape were serving prison sentences in Tulsa County.
