Austin Wates hit a walk-off RBI single for a 3-2 Oklahoma City RedHawks' victory against the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday in front of a season-high crowd of 10,280 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The RedHawks (23-15) notched their first win of the four-game series against the Bees (19-21) and ended a nine-game losing skid against Salt Lake.

Wates' game-winning hit into right field scored Brett Wallace with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to close an eight-game homestand.

Che-Hsuan Lin led Oklahoma City with two hits as the RedHawks won for the first time against the Bees since May 15, 2011. RedHawks pitcher Jose Valdez (3-0) threw the final 1.2 innings to notch the win.

Trent Oeltjen led the Bees with two hits. Pitcher Mitch Stetter (3-1) recorded his first loss of the season.

The RedHawks scored the first run for the third game in a row against the Bees. Jason Jaramillo tripled on a line drive to center field to score Lin for a 1-0 lead on the RedHawks' first hit of the game in the third inning.

Salt Lake's Efren Navarro doubled on a line drive to left field to score Andrew Romine and tie the game, 1-1, in the sixth. Scott Cousins hit a RBI double to right field to put the Bees in front, 2-1, in the seventh.

With Wates batting, a wild pitch from Bees pitcher Rob Delaney allowed Marc Krauss to score and tie the game, 2-2, in the seventh.

The RedHawks have won the finale in all six of their home series this season.

Oklahoma City has an off day Wednesday before starting a 13-game road trip at 9:05 p.m. on Thursday at Sacramento. The RedHawks also travel to play Fresno and Iowa during the trip.
