FBI Seeks Man Who Robbed Quapaw Bank At Gunpoint

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Quapaw, Oklahoma, at gunpoint Friday morning.

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Quapaw, Oklahoma, at gunpoint Friday morning.

According to the FBI, at about 9:30 a.m. a man walked into the Baxter State Bank, located at 338 S. Main Street, brandishing a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded money from a bank employee, and placed the cash in a plastic grocery type bag.

The man then ordered bank employees into the vault, and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man who is about 50 to 60 years old. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and is of slim build. He was wearing a ball cap, a long gray wig, light-colored shirt, and blue jeans.

If you have any information, call the FBI at (405)-290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Banker's Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for robbing a member bank.
