The Oklahoma City Police Department is revealing new details about the injuries three officers sustained when they tried to take a double-murder suspect into custody.

Police arrested 24-year-old Keenan Lamar Leake Monday, May 6. Leake was wanted for a triple shooting in December 2012 at Club Pulse. Two men were killed and another injured.

Police tracked Leak to a southeast Oklahoma City motel room. The officers identified themselves and that's when police say Leake opened fire, using a stolen semi-automatic pistol.

One officer was shot in the abdomen, but the bullet lodged in his ballistic vest. Another officer was injured when a bullet fragment hit his arm, and a third officer was hit by bullet fragments to his hand. They were not seriously injured, and were treated and released from a metro hospital.

The officers exchanged gunfire Leake, but the suspect was not hit. He was eventually taken into custody and booked on two counts of first-degree murder. Police say he will face more charges related to the shoot-out with police.
