Oklahoma Sooners offensive tackle Lane Johnson was drafted No. 4 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday night in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Johnson becomes the 13th first-round draft pick from Oklahoma in the Bob Stoops era and the 21st top 10 selection in the history of the OU program.

Johnson was a quarterback and tight end at Kilgore Junior College before transferring to Oklahoma. Upon arriving, Johnson switched to defensive end before finally settling at offensive tackle during the spring of 2011.

Johnson started at tackle for the first time during the Sooners game at Florida State in 2011. After spending all of the 2011 season at right tackle, Johnson switched to left tackle for the 2012 season.

The Eagles are coming off a 4-12 season and fired former head coach Andy Reid after 14 seasons. Former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly is the new head coach in Philadelphia, looking to take his high-tempo offense into the NFL.
