The University of Notre Dame confirmed Wednesday the kickoff for Oklahoma's game in South Bend, Ind., is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Sept. 28. The game will be broadcast nationally by NBC.

The Sooners and the Fighting Irish met in Norman on Oct. 27 last season before a crowd of 86,031 at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, a record attendance for OU football. The most recent meeting between these two teams in South Bend came on Oct. 2, 1999 when Notre Dame rallied for a 34-30 victory.

Oklahoma's lone victory over Notre Dame was a 40-0 shutout on Oct. 27, 1956, as the Sooners registered their second consecutive national championship under head coach Bud Wilkinson.

Former OU Linebacker Ronnell Lewis Arrested

Former OU linebacker and current Detroit Lions player Ronnell Lewis was arrested Saturday morning following a bar fight on Campus Corner in Norman.

Lewis was involved in an altercation inside Logan's that eventually spilled out into the street.

When police arrived, Lewis wouldn't quit fighting, forcing them to tase him twice to calm him down.

Lewis is charged with disturbing the peace, public intoxication and interfering with official procedure.

The Lions have said they are aware of Lewis' arrest, but have not taken any action at this time.
