Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart has hauled in yet another prestigious award to add to his growing collection.

The Cowboys' freshman phenom point guard was named a second-team Associated Press All-American on Monday.

Smart, who was also named the Big 12 Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, led the Cowboys to a 24-9 record, a third-place finish in the Big 12 and the school's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2010.

He averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and three steals per game, all ranking in the top 15 in the conference.

The first-team was highlighted by Trey Burke of Michigan and Otto Porter Jr. of Georgetown, who tied as the leading vote-getters. Creighton forward Doug McDermott made the team for a second-straight year after leading the nation in scoring at 23.1 points per game.

Victor Oladipo of Indiana and Kelly Olynyk of Gonzaga rounded out the first-team honors.

Smart was joined on the second team by Mason Plumlee of Duke, Cody Zeller of Indiana, Shane Larkin of Miami and Ben McLemore of Kansas.

The third team was KU's Jeff Withey, Erick Green of Virginia Tech, Nate Wolters of South Dakota State, Deshaun Thomas of Ohio State and Russ Smith of Louisville.

Smart got 11 first-team votes from the committee.
