St. Gregory's scored 21 runs on 22 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Mid-America Christian Tuesday at the SGU Softball Complex. Both games ended in a run rule as the Cavaliers took the opener, 10-0, before posting an 11-3 victory in Game 2.

SGU (21-6, 2-4 SAC) kept its series record against the Lady Evangels flawless, improving to 17-0 all-time against its Sooner Athletic Conference foe.

Junior Whitney Anderson led all players offensively with a 4-for-5 day, including a home run, a double and five runs scored. Caitlin O'Hagan had a perfect 3-for-3 day, including four RBIs between the two games.

Cavalier pitcher Devon Frazier picked up the win in both games to improve to 12-2 on the season. She gave up a combined three runs on four hits and struck out 10 in seven innings of work. Sierra Gallego was perfect in relief, retiring nine of the 10 batters she faced.

SGU came out strong early in Game 1, scoring six runs on five hits in the first inning. That frame was highlighted by Tara Nall's three-run home run to left-center – her fourth of the season. Anderson added a two-run blast in the second, and the rout was on.

MACU turned the tables early in the nightcap. After two of their first three batters reached base in the first inning, Erica Love gave the Lady Evangels a 3-0 lead with a three-run home run to left-center. Frazier would settle down, though, and MACU would go hitless the rest of the game.

The Cavs got clutch hitting in the third and pulled even with the visitors after scoring three runs with two outs. O'Hagan capped the frame with a two-run single to make it 3-3.

SGU went ahead for good with a five-run fourth inning that included RBI singles from Allison Conyers, Danielle Bacon and O'Hagan. Conyers added a two-run double in the fifth. The home team scored seven of its 11 runs with two outs.

Bacon and Conyers had identical 2-for-4 games with each recording two runs and three RBIs.

The Cavaliers make the return trip to Oklahoma City Thursday. That doubleheader against the Lady Evangels is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start.
