Top-ranked Oklahoma City University earned its 15th consecutive 20-win season with a 104-58 pounding of USAO Thursday at USAO Fieldhouse.

The Stars, ranked No. 1 in NAIA Division I women's basketball, had five players score in double figures and improved to 20-2 overall and 12-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.

"I was really pleased with our bench tonight," OCU coach Latricia Trammell said. "We had several players score in double figures which is nice. All the kids play so hard and step up in different moments. We really enjoyed the win."

The Drovers kept pace with the Stars early and trailed 9-8 after a Rocio Medrano jump shot with 14 minutes and 29 on the clock.

Desiree Jeffries scored in transition and followed with a 3-point jumper to spark a 16-0 run by the Stars. Kayla MacKenzie scored five points and Cara Pugh added four to fuel the run and give OCU a 25-8 lead at the 10 minute mark.

The Stars scored 25 of their last 28 first-half points in the paint or at the free throw line and took a 53-28 advantage to the locker room at halftime.

OCU went 3-of-5 from behind the 3-point line and shot 58 percent from the field in the half. The Stars forced 18 turnovers in the first frame and held USAO to 25 percent shooting.

Jeffries scored five of the Stars' first 10 points of the second half to help OCU maintain its double-digit lead with 15 minutes left on the clock.

Ravven Brown hit back-to-back buckets with 7:56 remaining to spark a 20-3 Stars' run. Tiffany Bellamy and Clara Russell scored to cap the run and put every OCU player into the scoring column. At the 3:41 mark, the Stars held a 44-point lead.

The Stars led by as many as 48 points in the second half a cruised to the 104-58 victory.

OCU outscored the Drovers 54-8 in points in the paint and 49-27 in bench points. The Stars scored 34 points off 28 turnovers and notched 14 fastbreak points.

Jeffries paced the Stars with 25 points and seven rebounds. Brown added 17 points, five rebounds and four assists and Pugh tallied 16 points and nine boards. MacKenzie notched 10 points off the bench.

OCU will return to action against John Brown (Ark.) at 3 p.m. Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
