A man is flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital after LeFlore County Sheriff's deputies found him in front of his home with three gunshot wounds to his abdomen late Sunday.

LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale says there was a disturbance at the man's home while he, his wife and stepson were watching the Super Bowl.

"There was some alcohol involved in the incident, and it just kind of escalated out of control from there," Sheriff Rob Seale said.

The man's wife and stepson were taken into custody by deputies for questioning.

Deputies got the call just before 10 p.m. to a home just outside of Poteau.

Sheriff Seale says the victim was talking with paramedics before he was flown to Tulsa.

"No one wants to come out to a scene like this; where something starts with a football game, where alcohol is involved," Rob Seale said. "It's just an unfortunate incident for the entire family."

Sheriff Seale says a handgun was found at the scene.
