A man was arrested after police say he stabbed another man at an Oklahoma City homeless shelter Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the report of a stabbing at the Homeless Appliance Shelter, located at 1729 N.W. 3rd Street in Oklahoma City.

Officers found the suspect, 60-year-old Ronald Eugene Cheatham, at Main and Kentucky when they arrived. Police say Cheatham had blood on his clothes and hands.

After speaking with the witnesses and watching the surveillance video of the incident, police learned that Cheatham and the victim had gotten into an argument inside the shelter.

When the two were asked the leave, Cheatham began fighting with the victim outside the shelter, and stabbed the victim twice in the right leg and once in the right hand, according to the police report.

The victim was transported to the Presbyterian Hospital in an unknown condition.

Cheatham was arrested and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
