Oklahoma's Whitney Hand was voted to the 2012-13 Capital One Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

It is the second such honor for Hand, who was an Academic All-District First Team member last season.

Hand graduated with an undergraduate GPA of 3.76, earning her Bachelor's in health and exercise science. The Fort Worth, Texas, native has maintained a 4.00 GPA through her Master's studies in human relations.

A member of the preseason Naismith Award watch list, Hand averaged 11.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 53 percent field goal shooting for the Sooners before suffering an ACL tear in Oklahoma's win over North Texas on Dec. 6.

Hand finished her basketball career collecting 1,211 points, 555 rebounds, 296 assists, 120 steals and 51 blocks and started 103 of 104 games played.

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team selections will be announced later in February.
