Oklahoma City University thumped Wayland Baptist (Texas) 81-48 on Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena.

Katie Hall, a senior from Hazelton, Idaho, supplied OCU with 14 points, 10 rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals. The Stars, ranked third in NAIA Division I women's basketball, improved to 17-2, 9-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, running the NAIA's longest active win streak to 16.

The Stars meet top-ranked Lubbock Christian (Texas) at noon Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena in the NAIA women's basketball game of the week pairing teams ranked in the top five nationally. Lubbock Christian (21-1, 8-1 SAC) won 71-57 over Mid-America Christian on Thursday in Oklahoma City.

Cara Pugh, a junior from Oklahoma City, provided OCU with 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor, while Lauren Gober, a senior from Newcastle, Okla., posted 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Gober sank three 3-pointers to increase her OCU career record total to 274 3-pointers.

Ravven Brown, a senior from Duluth, Ga., contributed 11 points as the Stars' bench brigade tallied 33 points.

OCU scored the game's first seven points. Wayland Baptist committed turnovers on its first four possessions and five of its first six. Wayland Baptist finished with 29 turnovers and scuffled to 37 percent shooting from the field.

The Stars parlayed Wayland Baptist's miscues into 33 points off turnovers. OCU limited its turnovers to nine.

Wayland Baptist went scoreless for 4:55 starting with 2:25 left in the first half. OCU grew its advantage from 33-21 to 44-21.

Brown pocketed a steal, then scored on a breakaway layup to give OCU its biggest lead of the game at 76-36 with 4:11 left.
