A driver began chasing a truck through Oklahoma City after he spotted it towing a trailer he recognized as his own.

The man says around 9 p.m. January 11, he was driving with a friend near S.W. 15th Street and May when he saw a truck hauling a trailer that looked like one that belonged to him. He soon realized it was his, and it must have been stolen from his home while he was away.

The man began chasing the truck. Police saw the two speeding near S.W. 8th Street and Exchange, and pulled over both vehicles.

The victim and his passenger explained the situation, and described several identifying items on the stolen trailer, including new $1,500 black rims, LED lights, and stickers.

Police concluded the trailer did belong to the victim. They arrested the man suspected of stealing it, 50-year-old Samuel Guhl. Guhl was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of grand larceny and speeding.
