Joanna McFarland scored a career-high 24 points and Aaryn Ellenberg added 26 points to lead the Oklahoma Sooners to a wild 85-79 win over TCU.

The fast tempo forced the Sooners to shorten their already sparse bench, as all five starters played at least 30 minutes, with Joanna McFarland and Morgan Hook each playing 37 minutes.

McFarland added 11 rebounds and Hook had a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists, a career high. Sharane Campbell added 11 points.

Natalie Ventress led the Horned Frogs with 27 points, hitting 5-of-7 attempts from three-point range, but scored just four points in the second half. Three other players scored in double-figures for TCU, who combined to hit 12 three-pointers for the game.

Ellenberg knocked down a three-pointer with 2:43 remaining to give the Sooners a 76-73 lead. TCU responded with a quick 4-0 run to lead 77-76 with 1:50 remaining. 17 seconds later, Hook converted an old-fashioned three-point play to give OU lead it wouldn't relinquish.

On the very next TCU possession, Ellenberg forced a turnover and Campbell ended the Sooners' possession with a jumper as the shot clock expired to extend the lead to four.

A turnover by TCU's Kamy Cole on the next Horned Frogs' possession iced the game for the Sooners.

TCU led 61-53 with 12 minutes remaining before OU went on 10-2 run to tie the game at 63. The Sooners then allowed six unanswered points before collecting the game's 18th and final lead change.

Oklahoma allowed a season-high 44 first-half points as TCU shot 47 percent from the field and hit 8- of-15 three-pointers in the first half.
