A traffic stop led to a sizeable pot bust in Oklahoma City last week. This happened on Wednesday, January 3, on I-35 and Eastbound I-44.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene after a routine traffic stop. The dog detected the odor of narcotics. That's when deputies discovered two cardboard boxes which contained plant trays.

Those plant trays had small 156 marijuana plants, ranging from approximately four to six inches high, according to police.

Both people in the car, 21-year-old Jamie Christian Najera, and 47-year-old David Allen Najera, received citations and were released.
