Two Men Charged For Allegedly Making Explosive Device In Edmond

Charges have now been filed against two men allegedly involved in the discovery of an explosive device at an apartment complex in Edmond.

Casey Richard Hampton and Hillrey Ray Young face three felony counts of manufacturing or possession of an explosive device.

An apartment manager and residents heard a loud boom at Christopher Place Apartments located at 101 N. Boulevard on December 20. Firefighters arrived and quickly determined there were explosives in the unit.

The pair were arrested for making an IED inside one of the apartment units. No formal court dates have been scheduled.
