OKC Airport Prepping For Christmas Snowstorm
OKLAHOMA CITY - A spokesperson for Will Rogers World Airport says the airport has been preparing for the expected Christmas Day snowstorm for a week.
No flights have been canceled yet. The airport predicts flights leaving early in the morning should not have any problems. Passengers traveling later, however, should contact their airlines before leaving for the airport. The impact of the storm could cause severe travel disruptions.
The airport says maintenance crews will arrive around midnight to clear runways and taxiways. Additional staff will also be brought in to clear sidewalks, roads in front of the terminal, and parking lanes.
