OKC Gun Owner Responds To Certain Guns Being Pulled From Store Shelves
OKLAHOMA CITY - In the wake of the Connecticut school shooting, certain guns are being pulled from store shelves.
Dick's Sporting Goods has stopped selling all semi-automatic rifles out of "respect for the victims and their families." Wal-Mart also pulled a website listing for the Bushmaster AR-15, the exact semi-automatic gun shooter Adam Lanza used at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newton, CT.
Wal-Mart is still selling the rifle in their stores.
The private equity firm with controlling interest in the parent company that operates Bushmaster Rifles is now selling its shares.
Because of the attention being brought to the AR-15, many gun owners are trying to buy them while they can.
"There's a lot of concern among a lot of us that someone is going to pass something stupid and disallow us from owning what we wish to own," said one semi-automatic rifle buyer inside H&H Shooting Sports Complex Tuesday.
H&H told News 9, of the 15 long guns sold Tuesday morning, 13 of them were semi-automatic rifles.
