Two Green Country Babies Born On 12-12-12, One At 12:12

December 12, 2012, or 12-12-12, is the last date of the century with three matching numbers.

It's a unique day, but for a few Green Country newborns, it's just their birthday.

Blue is the color, Bowen is the name, and 12 is the lucky number.

"He was born right on the dot at 12:12, so he was given a pretty neat birth date," said Bixby resident Kelli Baker.

Bowen Baker is one of very few who will forever boast about being born December 12, 2012 at 12:12.

"All 12s, nothing else, just 12s," said Kelli.

Bowen was born via C-section in Tulsa. His parents didn't pick the date and they didn't pick the time.

"It was a pretty neat surprise," Kelli said.

After the nine-month wait, Bowen's mom and dad were ready to meet their boy, and the sooner the better.

"I was really wanting to be one of the first surgeries," Kelli said. "Unfortunately, the time we were given by the hospital was 12 o'clock, noon and I don't think anybody really added up the significance of the time."

Up the road in Owasso, another bundle of joy came bouncing into the world, also taking on the triple threat.

"He came December 12, 2012 at 11:36 a.m.," said new mom Brandy Harris, of Skiatook.

Cayden Harris was 24 minutes shy of hitting that noon mark, something his mom couldn't control, but his dad wished she could.

"He was a little upset that I couldn't wait 24 more minutes to have him at noon," Brandy said.

Baby Cayden really wanted to keep with the theme, though. He was actually due on December 24, which, of course, makes him 12 days early.

"I can't believe that, 12 days early," Harris said.

Both sets of parents say they're grateful for their new blessings.

And their moms are especially glad their baby boys didn't tip the scales at 12 pounds, 12 ounces.

Both babies are scheduled to go home in the next couple of days.
