Oklahoma City University defeated Northwood (Texas) 103-63 Wednesday at Abe Lemons Arena.

The Stars posted their first 100-point performance since a 109-48 win over Baptist Bible (Mo.) on Nov. 13, 2010 at Abe Lemons Arena. OCU, ranked 22nd in NAIA Division I men's basketball, improved to 6-1.

OCU also recorded its highest point total under coach Dionne Phelps. OCU previously had scored 85 points in its 85-63 win over Southwestern Adventist (Texas) on Saturday and a 90-85 overtime loss to Oklahoma Baptist on March 1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament.

Terry Johnson, a junior from Chicago, led six Stars in double figures with 20 points. Troynell Adams, a senior from Chicago, produced 18 points, six rebounds and two steals, while Shawn Grant, a senior from San Jose, Calif., contributed 13 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers for OCU.

Ivan Matip scored 12 points, while Elhadji Wade pitched in 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field for the Stars. Charlton Jones had 11 points, seven assists and four steals for OCU. The Stars' Kaleb Smith notched game highs with eight rebounds and four blocked shots.

The Stars sank 58.9 percent of its shots from the field in the game, 65.9 percent in the second half. Shawn Grant's 3-pointer gave the Stars their largest margin of the contest at 44 points, 103-59 with 1:12 to go.

OCU reeled off a 12-0 run early in the second half. Tim Morton's putback pushed OCU's advantage to 59-37 to cap the spree at the 14:50 mark. Johnson spurred the run on with a trey and a transition bucket, while Adams chipped in a 3-point play.

The Stars hold a rematch against Northwood at 3 p.m. Dec. 20 in Cedar Hill, Texas.
