Fire Scare Leads To Brief Evacuation At Will Rogers Elementary School

A possible fire led school administrators to evacuate students and staff from Will Rogers Elementary School Friday morning, but firefighters have now given the all clear.

A call came in around 7:30 a.m. that there was a fire on the roof of the building at N.W. 122nd and Council. Just before 8 a.m., crews said there was no fire on the roof.

School had no started yet, so students who arrived early and staff were briefly evacuated. They were allowed back into the building around 8:10 a.m.

No one was hurt.
