Led by 22 points from junior guard Aaryn Ellenberg, No. 12 Oklahoma trounced Northwestern State, 96-35, Thursday evening at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Freshman Nicole Kornet scored 19, a career-high, and junior Nicole Griffin scored 12 for Oklahoma. Morgan Hook also scored in double-figures, chipping in 10 points.

Tiandra Williams scored 10 points to lead Northwestern State. Williams was the only player for the Demons in double-figures.

OU, winning its fifth consecutive game to improve to 6-1 on the season, scored the first 10 points of the game and took a 45-19 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Sooners played with just nine players Thursday night, after learning freshman Maddie Manning would miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear suffered in practice Wednesday.

Senior forward Joanna McFarland came off the bench to pull down a game-high 10 rebounds as Oklahoma dominated the glass with a 44-25 edge.

Oklahoma turned in another solid defensive performance, holding the Lady Demons to a season-low 35 points and forcing them into 24 turnovers, including 14 by way of steals. Ellenberg has six of those, all in the first half.

Oklahoma next hosts Marist Sunday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. The game will be televised on FS Southwest.
