There is a broad and dense arctic air mass just north of the U.S. border, and it appears to be locked up in Canada for the next two weeks with some occasional "glancing blow" -type polar fronts moving through.
Best chances for precipitation will remain in far eastern Oklahoma. The drought remains extreme, and there are no signs of dislodging it any time soon. Fire danger is Oklahoma's greatest threat.
