They call the game Bedlam for a reason. Saturday in Norman, the game lived up to its name in a tremendous way.

Brennan Clay broke several tackles and ran 18 yards for the game-winning touchdown in overtime as Oklahoma came from behind to defeat Oklahoma State, 51-48 in one of the wildest games in the series' history.

Oklahoma State trailed one time, and that was in the final score. In a game where points came quickly and often, the Sooners used a 17-play, 86-yard drive that lasted 6:14 to tie the score on a Blake Bell four-yard touchdown run with four seconds remaining in regulation. Bell appeared to be stopped in the backfield, but hopped over an OSU defender to power into the end zone.

OSU quarterback Clint Chelf, starting his first road game, performed well, hitting 19-for-37 passes for 253 yards and a 75-yard touchdown pass to Josh Stewart on the first play of the second half to give OSU a 31-24 lead. Stewart finished the day with 11 catches for 150 yards.

The Cowboys' running game also performed well, with Joseph Randle carrying 21 times for 113 yards and four touchdowns. Chelf surprised pretty much everyone in the stadium by running for 63 yards on 12 carries, most of that in the first quarter that spurred OSU to a quick 17-3 lead.

For Oklahoma, quarterback Landry Jones once again carried the offense, setting OU records with 46 completions on 71 attempts for 500 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. The Sooners also had a program first with three different receivers having over 100 yards receiving. Jalen Saunders had 10 catches for 162 yards and touchdown, as well as an 81-yard punt return at the beginning of the fourth quarter that tied the score at 38. Justin Brown had 15 catches for 146 yards, and Kenny Stills had nine catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Early on, it seemed as if the Cowboys were going to blow the game wide open. The Sooners ended their first possession with a missed field goal, and after the teams exchanged three-and-outs, the Cowboys went 55 yards on six running plays for a Joseph Randle one-yard touchdown run.

On the very next possession, Jones was pressured and forced a terrible throw that was intercepted by OSU's Lyndell Johnson. The linebacker returned the interception 46 yards to the Oklahoma nine-yard line. Two plays later, Randle found the end zone again to give OSU a quick 14-0 lead, stunning the sellout crowd in Norman.

After the teams exchanged field goals, the Sooners awoke, scoring touchdowns on their next two possessions to tie the score at 17. The second scoring drive began after OU's Aaron Colvin picked off Chelf at the OU 19-yard line.

Only in the Big 12 is two minutes and 42 seconds enough time for both teams to score, and that's exactly what happened. First, OSU's Josh Stewart made an incredible one-handed grab on third and eight to give OSU a first down. Then, Randle took a handoff then threw back to Chelf, who rumbled 36 yards to the Oklahoma 16-yard line. Randle capped the drive with his third touchdown of the half.

With 1:23 remaining in the half, Jones completed four quick passes to move the Sooners to the OSU 15-yard line. After two incompletions, Jones threw to Stills, who caught the ball on the deflection to tie the score at 24.

With the win, the Sooners remain in contention for a Big 12 title and a BCS bowl. With a win over TCU next week and a Texas win over Kansas State, the Sooners would win the Big 12 championship outright and go to the Fiesta Bowl. However, with a win over TCU, the Sooners should still go to a BCS bowl, most likely the Sugar Bowl.

Oklahoma State travels to Waco next week to take on Baylor, who beat Texas Tech Saturday in overtime to become the ninth bowl-eligible Big 12 team.
