The McLoud man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend's young son was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.

Jason Cline pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 3-year-old Cody Paul Chama last week.

According to Cody's father, Paul Chama, his ex-wife was living with her ex-boyfriend Jason Cline in October of 2010, when Cody stopped breathing.

He was rushed to OU Medical Center on October 5, 2010. He died the next day. Paul said the doctor told him Cody had a brain bleed and his injuries were consistent with child abuse.

Cline was later charged with Cody's murder. During a preliminary hearing in April of 2011, Cody's mother testified that Cline admitted to her that he rubbed her son's face in urine.

Paul said his son was potty training at the time and he believes Cody had an accident that set Cline off.
