Owasso Police are looking for the man who abducted a Skiatook woman from an Owasso shopping center Monday night.

Police say the man forced the woman out of the PetsMart and into a car just after 7 p.m. at the Smith Farm Shopping Center, 9018 North 121st East Avenue.

At approximately 8:11 p.m., Owasso Police learned the suspect's vehicle had crashed on Highway 11, four miles North of Highway 20 near Avant. The victim was located and transported for medical treatment as a result of the crash.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Michael Dale Nelson, ran away. Owasso officers and several officers from surrounding agencies searched for him but could not locate him so the search was called off.

Witnesses at the store where the incident took place say Nelson and the victim knew each other.

Police say they will ask the D.A. to file charges against Nelson.  He was still at large as of Tuesday afternoon. Nelson is white, approximately 6'02" with a thin build and brown hair.
