Last night I showed a short clip of a Wisconsin news anchor who went on the air and spent 5 minutes chastising a bully who emailed her about being too fat.
I admire her for doing it and responding to it. Here's what you had to say.
Jack first: "The woman IS fat. Since when does telling the truth constitute bullying?"
Andrew writes: "The fact that people think the truth is always right, whether it's rude or not, shows me just how ignorant people are."
This from BJ: "At least it's nice to see she is intelligent and [possesses] a brain and isn't an empty-headed Barbie doll flake like so many others appearing before the camera."
Julie says: "Big or not, I think she is cute and scrappy to stand up for herself in such a professional way. I say "bravo"!"
From Deborah: "I'm glad she stood up for herself. But why on the news instead of just replying to his e-mail comment?"
Allie says: "..most of the obese people I have met in my life have the biggest, caring hearts and are more willing to help someone in need than a person who is skinny..."
And just to prove that bullying lives, Cal writes: "Kelly, we can tell that you have a weight problem, but we can also tell that you work on it. She has not."
And Richard adds: "Kelly, that was more of a report and not an opinion...fatso."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
