A Holdenville man is in the Pittsburg County jail after he was shot as he broke into an Alderson home on September 24.

After getting a 911 call about a homeowner shooting a man who had broke into his home, a Pittsburg County Sheriff's deputy was dispatched to the residence.

The homeowner said after shooting Billy Jack Thomason, 37, with a 12-gauge shotgun, Thomason ran out the back door.

The homeowner identified Thomason as the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend Andrea Beall, 32, of McAlester.

He told deputies he saw Thomason and Beall drive up to his home. When the homeowner refused to answer the door, he saw Beall attempt to crawl through the doggie door and Thomason with a shotgun standing in the doorway.

The homeowner says Thomason fired one shot in his direction and he returned fire, hitting Thomason.

Both Thomason and Beall ran out of the house.

After an all-night search, sheriff's deputies located Thomason, bleeding profusely, laying next to a mobile home three blocks from the crime scene.

Thomason was taken to a McAlester hospital then flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Tulsa. He has since been released and booked into the Pittsburg County jail.

Thomason is charged Thursday with assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree burglary and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

Beall is charged with assault with a deadly weapon.  She has not been arrested.
